American Express credit cards, particularly their Delta Sky Miles cards, are among the best purchases to make if you are a frequent flyer. However, many people don’t really understand how the cards work, and don’t know how to maximize their value. American Express released new versions of these cards in February, and they are much more lucrative than the ones you may already have.
American Express was expected to announce this week that they are either cutting back or getting rid of their Delta card program, but that has been cancelled. Instead, the company has decided to offer a new card, a Delta Platinum card, which will give you a whopping 90k bonus miles on your first purchase. This card will also get you 40k bonus miles after your first purchase and will waive the $75 annual fee.
One of the most popular rewards credit cards out there is the Delta SkyMiles credit card from American Express. You may have heard that Delta will be looking to partner with other frequent flyer programs in the near future, and the SkyMiles card would be one of them (Delta SkyMiles and the frequent flyer programs of Japan’s ANA and Japan Airlines are not actually partners yet, but I’ll get into that later). For now, the Amex Delta cards that are available in the United States have a very impressive rewards program, and with the most recent changes, it’s even better than ever.

I am rewarded for the content and the many links on this blog. Citibank is an advertising partner of this site, as are American Express, Chase, Barclays and Capital One. All opinions expressed in this article are my own and have not been reviewed, approved or endorsed by my advertisers. I’m not going to tell you about all the credit cards out there. Instead, I’m going to focus on miles, points and cashback (and the currency that can be converted into them). The terms and conditions apply to the offers and benefits listed on this page.
American Express has just launched exceptional limited offers on most of its Delta co-branded loyalty cards. They will be available until the 28th. July 2021 continued. You can earn up to 90,000 miles, which is one of the most attractive offers we’ve ever seen, especially with the credits offered.

The Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express card is the card to buy if you don’t fly Delta often, but want to enjoy certain benefits when you do.
If you travel with Delta, the first 90,000 mile offer on the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card is incredible because it earns you Delta Elite status. The Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express card is ideal for this, as well as for lounge access – free access to Delta SkyClubs when you fly with Delta, and free access to Centurion lounges when you book your Delta flight with the Reserve card.
I generally prefer American AAdvantage miles to SkyMiles and especially transfer currencies, but the 90,000 mile offer on the new card is incredibly attractive. The devaluation is attractive because previously earned miles are worth less (so spend them, don’t save them), and down payment bonuses continue to rise.

Delta SkyMiles is a frequent flyer program that offers miles and benefits including free companion passes for Delta and United Airlines, SkyMiles for partner airlines, and the ability to earn and save awards for eligible purchases. Plus, you can use your miles to book award flights with any participating airline for as little as one cent per mile. It may not be able to get you to the moon, but it’s a great way to start your journey there!

According to the folks at American Express, you can now earn up to 90,000 miles on a new Delta credit card.
