Installing Helix TV IPTV on a FireStick

Here’s what you need to do:

• Register your Helix TV account and purchase a subscription plan.
• Install the Helix TV application on the FireStick (the same application also works on Android).

To use this service, you must first register a Helix TV account and purchase a subscription plan. You can find the registration details here:

On the next page enter the payment details and complete the order.

After a successful transaction, you will receive an email with the login details (username and password) for the application assigned to you by the system. You’ll need this information to sign in to the Helix TV app on the FireStick, the Kodi Helix TV addon, or to stream Helix TV online (via your web browser).

Later I will show you how to change the password of the Helix TV application. Note that the username assigned by the system can NOT be changed.

Helix IPTV Firestick Application Installation Steps

Follow the steps below to get the Helix TV application on your FireStick:

1- Open the FireStick settings from the main menu on the main screen of the device (above).

2- Go to the My Fire TV option and open it.

3- Select Options for developers

4- Now go to and tap applications from unknown sources (only tap if it is disabled).

5- Then click on Activate to continue.

Allows you to install third-party applications on the FireStick, including Helix TV IPTV.

6- Now you want to go back to the FireStick home screen.

This time, choose the Find tool. You will find it in the top left corner (Objective option).

7- Find the Downloader application using the on-screen keyboard.

Install the Downloader application on your device

8- Now open the Downloader application. Select the appropriate options to manage the pop-up windows that appear at first startup.

You should end up on this screen of the Downloader application. The Home tab of the left menu is already selected.

You need to click on the URL field on the right side of the same screen.

9- Go ahead and enter the following path using the on-screen keyboard: https://tinyurl.com/y5dnv2lq

Check the path after you connect it. You want to make sure it’s right.

Press GO

10- Now all you have to do is wait for the Downloader application to download the Helix TV APK to the FireStick. It’ll take a few seconds

11- After a while the following pop-up window appears

Navigate to and click on the Install button

12- Wait a few seconds. Helix TV is installed on the FireStick

13- Here is the popup window you will see after the installation.

We’re not going to open the application yet. I’ll show you how to do it later.

We will press DONE button and remove Helix TV APK file to save space on FireStick.

14- Click on Delete

15- Click Delete again

This will remove the APK file from the FireStick’s memory (which is very limited).

Using Helix TV on a FireStick

First, let me show you the different ways to access Helix TV on the FireStick. Then I will tell you a little about the application.

To access the Helix TV FireStick application

If you know how to access the applications installed on your device, you can skip this section.

You may have noticed the Applications and Channels category on the FireStick home screen. It appears in the second row, just below the Recent Use category.

Installed applications are displayed in the Your applications and channels section of the Home screen. However, you can only see a maximum of 20 applications. If there are more applications, expand the Applications and Channels section.

To extend this range, you must first select it using the FireStick’s remote control. Now go to the first option (on the left) Show All and click on it (this is also the last option in the row).

This is a list of all installed applications. If you scroll down, you will also see Helix TV. Click on Helix TV and start it

You may want to use Helix TV often. So it makes sense to move it to the home screen for easier access. Press the 3-line button on the remote control (menu option) and press Move on the pop-up menu in the lower right corner.

Move Helix TV to the first or second row

It is a way to access Helix TV and other applications installed on the FireStick. Here are some additional options:

• Long press the Home button on the Amazon FireStick remote control. In the window that opens, tap Applications
• Go to FireStick Settings > Apps > Manage Installed Apps > Helix TV > Run App

How to use Helix IPTV

Now we can get started with the application.

This is the login screen when you first open the Helix TV FireStick application. Enter the information you received in your email (NOT the information you created during registration) and click Login.

Message: Check the Remember me box to avoid having to enter login credentials every time you launch the application.

If you have problems with the connection, press REFRESH DNS.

Wait until IPTV Helix TV is configured on the FireStick.

This is the start screen of the Helix TV application after a successful connection.

Here are the options:

Live broadcast: Displays a list of all TV channels supported by your subscription.

Click on a category to display the channel catalog. The preview of the selected channel is displayed on the right. Press the channel to play it in full screen.

Movies and TV series Categories : Here you will find content on demand (VOD). This only works if your subscription includes VOD

Set the EPG: To view them, you need to install the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide). After installation, the name changes to Live with EPG.

Notes: Displays your entry. Select the station you want to record from the station list, long press the station name and press Record to start recording.

Catch up: As the name suggests, you watch catch-up television.

To change the default video player

The Helix TV FireStick application has a built-in video player. That’s good, but not good enough. In that case, buffering problems may occur. That’s why I recommend using an external player like VLC or MX Player.

Learn how to change the default video player in the Helix IPTV application:

Open the settings on the home screen (the cog icon in the top right corner).

First we need to add an external drive. Click on External disk

Click on Add a player

Select MX Player or another player you wish to use.

Message: You can add multiple players

Press Add to confirm

Return to the settings screen and press Select player.

As you can see, the Helix TV app on the FireStick allows you to select a separate player for each category.

Click the category for which you want to change the player (for example, Live TV) and select the desired player (for example, MX Player).

Now simply press the Back button at the bottom of the screen or the Back button on the remote control to apply the changes.

Change the password for Helix IPTV

There are two passwords associated with the Helix IPTV service:

1) Change Helix TV account password
