Andy Dinh, who we all call Reginald, was born on April 19th, 1992 in San Jose, California. He was brought up in a family of Vietnamese immigrants to the US. Both his parents wanted Andy to be good at academics and find a conventionally safe job, but he had other plans.

It was a much easier proponent when Andy’s elder brother Dan Dinh was the first to enter competitive Esports. Reginald debuted by playing League of Legends in an experimental Beta version in 2008. His ascend to success was quick, and the name was echoing throughout the gaming multiverse.

Reginald’s Career And Major Milestones

In 2009, Andy, alongside his brother Dan established a team called “All or Nothing” for a League of Legends tournament.

Forbes has profiled Reginald as comparable to “The next Michael Jordan of Esports”–a professional player turned team owner and sports icon.
In 2013, Andy retired from his playing responsibility to shift his focus on management of hos team.

Team SoloMid or TSM, has its own YouTube channel with more than 500k subscribers. Also, the Twitch medium also attracts 1.2 Million followers.

Not only has Reginald been good for gaming, he’s been brilliant for business. TSM has received intense investment from corporations like Geico, Red Bull, HTC, and Axe.

A Few Things You Didn’t Know About Reginald

Reginald’s position as a player in the active competitive League of Legends was a mid-laner.

Andy disbanded the first team made by him in partnership with his brother in 2011. This was due to major disagreements between the Dinh brothers.

TSM has been a great investment product but they haven’t been invincible or formidable by any stretch of the imagination.

In 2014, a hacking crew called “Null Consolidated” hacked into the TSM servers, stole user data, and vandalized the branding site.

The 29-year-old former player did come out of retirement in 2014 for a brief appearance in the 2014 NA LCS Spring Split as a substitute for Bjergsen.

Net Worth

Andy Dinh is turning his life around from his playing career to his management and investment career. The latest estimates place his net worth at over $2 Million USD. Most of his income has come from his post-retirement investment, management, and business entrepreneurship. At such a young age, Reginald has a long way to go in the Esports industry.
